Location: Yellowstone National Park, MT (Yellowstone River)
It's hard to get a great photograph of an icon that has been shot a few million times already. However, with a little "illegal" hiking, and a new technique, I think I may have captured something new in something so old. The Lower Falls of the Yellowstone is one of my favorite places. I used to hike down late at night and early in the morning for a bit of solitude when I worked at the Canyon Lodge in the early 90's. If your are willing to venture a bit, and find the right times, you still can have the whole canyon to yourself.....July 2004
