FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions*
- Do you offer custom sizes?
-
Yes. On the site you will see 5 sizes available for each print. However, since each print is made per order, and custom sizes can be produced to fit any space.
Just send an E-Mail with the print name you are interested in and desired size requirements, and I'll get back to you will a custom price quote. - What size do you recommend to order for my space?
-
For finding the right size for your space, I recommend using masking tape on your wall to visualize a good size for the piece. You can also E-Mail me a picture of your wall with the measured size using the tape, and I can produce a rough rendering of what the framed piece will look like on your wall.
- What are the differences in paper, canvas, metal & acrylic prints?
-
Fine Art Matte PAPER:
The prints on fine art cotton paper are very vivid and have a bit more sharpness than the canvas. This is a 100 percent archival museum quality cotton photographic matte paper that is very thick and lightly textured. Photos produced on this paper have a very warm, almost lithographic feel to them, and are perfect for small or medium sized prints. These prints need to be framed and covered with acrylic or glass.
Fine Art Satin CANVAS:
The canvas prints have the same vivid photographic color and detail as the prints on paper, but with an added hint of a painterly quality that results in a stunning reproduction. The canvas also has the benefit of being hung as a frame less gallery wrap and hanging without glass, which is a cost savings on framing, and virtually eliminates any glare on the print. These are not the "cut rate" canvas prints you see at discount stores, or on other websites. I only use the finest archival 100% cotton canvas for my prints, then put an additional sealant over them using a custom made non-toxic scratch and UV coating.
CHROMOLUXE GLOSSY METAL PRINTS:
All of my images are now available to be ordered as highly detailed glossy Chromaluxe aluminum prints. The quality of these is superb, and my absolute favorite reproduction option for prints these days. Available in single panel sizes up to 8 feet wide, and up to 15 feet wide when produced as 3 40"x60" triptych panels. Ready to hang, professionally crated and shipped anywhere! Ready to hang with cleated hanging system on back.
Here is a link to download a PDF with more metal print information.
ACRYLIC:
A long lasting, very sharp, glossy and modern reproduction. Ready to hang with cleated hanging system on back. To order an acrylic print, please just select the metal print on the order and add a note that you would like acrylic rather than metal (they are the same pricing).*Both require about 3 weeks production time, produced and shipped via crated freight from an out of state supplier
- How big can you make the prints?
-
Paper prints can be made in single panels up 8 feet wide.
Canvas gallery wrap prints can be made in single panels up 10 feet wide (120") and triptych 3 panels up to 180" wide (3 - 60"x40" panels)
Metal & Acrylic prints can be made in single panels up 8 feet wide (96")And all prints can also be produced into 3 or 4 panel
triptychs or for even larger presentations. For example 3 - 60"x40"

"McAtee Bridge" Madison River Valley near Ennis Montana - 180" wide - 3 60x40" triptych - What is the difference between and open and limited edition print?
-
LIMITED EDITION PRINTS:
Each limited edition

made in sequential order of the edition no matter what the size of the
print (editions of 75 & 150 & 250 are noted on each image). When
each edition is printed, it is signed and numbered on the print and in
the print edition registry kept in a locked safe. Each limited edition

All other images are
available as open edition prints and are produced with no predetermined
limit to the number of copies that might be made. These are produced
with the same very high quality papers, canvas & metal and archival
giclee' printing process as the limited editions, however are offered at
a lower cost."Grand Prismatic" 90" x 30" open edition metal print
- What type of framing do you offer?
-
I offer simple framing for all my images:
Paper: Black, walnut and barn wood framing with acrylic glazing
Canvas: 1.5" or 2" thick gallery wrap, black, walnut and barn wood framing. (UV spray sealed canvas)
Metal & Acrylic: Frameless with french cleat hanging.
• Other framing options are available. Please E-Mail or call 406-522-7798 for more info•
You may also just order the print as "No frame, rolled print only " and then have it framed at your local framer to your exact specifications. - Where are the barn wood frames made?
-
I source all of my reclaimed barn and fence wood from right here in Montana. Most of the boards I use now are Douglas Fir pine milled in the area. I make every one of these frames custom to compliment each image. Every piece of wood is unique in it's color, texture and tone and makes a one of a kind framing option for your print.
- What is the finished size of the barn wood frame?
-
Barn wood frames are about 2.5” to 3” wide, so they will add approximately 6 inches to the width and height to the total print size.
For example, a 45"x15" canvas print will have a rough finished dimension of 51"x21".
