I've spent a lot of time in the Lamar Valley area, one of my favorites in Yellowstone. I had been trying to find location for a whole valley view for awhile, but could not quite get the right shot. Then after scouting most of the afternoon, I finally found a spot where the main road was not visible and after setting up and waiting late in the evening, the sunset provided a spectacular show after the afternoon rain.
