A doe and fawn mule deer cross the Jefferson River as the sun sets over the Bridger Range in the distance.
"I've always believed in being in the right place at the right time, lots of preparation and hard work, and of course, mix in a little luck. I had set up for a fall shot of the Jefferson River outside of Three Forks, waiting for the sunset over the Bridgers to develop. I ended up taking the shot three times in different light conditions, then on the 4th time I saw this doe and fawn jump out of the brush and start crossing right in the middle of the frame! A little patience can make all the difference in the world. "
