I had driven this pass countless times back and forth through the park, for fun, for photos and in the spring for skiing. Was scouting this area out on the west side for years trying to find a good location to get a full view of the initial climb up the hill. With a few hikes, I finally found the right spot, and waited for the perfect clear full moon night to set up a couple cameras to get a long exposure panorama and short time lapse that I had stuck in my mind. The long exposures allowed for a continuous light line along the road, created by just a few cars heading up over the evening. Sitting on the rocks after the shoot, I just sat and wondered at it all. What a tiny, tiny little spec of life I was in the grand scope of it all, which made it feel even that much more spectacular!!
