9-26-16 - Fall is in the air in "Outside Bozeman" magazine
The new fall issue of "Outside Bozeman" recently hit the shelves, and though I've had cover shots of many magazines over the years, this is the first time I've actually ever been in it myself!
Shot last fall on a 4 day fall canoe float of the Jefferson River on an island camp. The original shoot was from a piece on the Jefferson Canoe trail for the "Big Sky Journal, but I still had tons of A-roll shots that they did not have space for, so Outside Bozeman snatched a couple more for this years fall release.
After shooting all day and night, it was time to take a little break for myself in front of the fire. The crystal clear skies of the evening revealed the Milky Way perfectly, so I set up one last shot with the timer and took my spot on the beach....

“Montana Panoramic: Transparent in the Backlight”
Craig W. Hergert. Essays by Shann Ray.
Few images capture the grandeur of Mon-
tana—big sky, big land, big mountains, big
everything—as well as Bozeman photographer
Craig Hergert’s panoramic photographs. In
his newest coffee-table book, Hergert takes
viewers on a journey to 26 areas from Glacier
National Park to Ekalaka. We almost don’t
want to recommend this stunning photogra-
phy collection, because anyone who sees it
will want to immediately move to Montana.
